INFORMATION FOR PARENTS
Working closely with parents and carers is part of our everyday life at St. Paul’s. Staff are always available and happy to talk to you. It is important that you let us know your ideas and opinions so that we may work together for the benefit of your children.
Parents' Time To Talk Meetings:
We know the importance of working with parents in partnership to ensure that all of pupils achieve the best outcomes. As such, parents' meetings should not be rushed! We do not hold traditional parent meetings, preferring a much more personal approach to discussing your child's learning and progress. Twice annually, you will be invited to attend a 'Time to Talk' meeting for your child. This is an extended meeting with your child's Class Teacher, usually lasting for approximately half an hour. Here you will have the chance to talk about your child’s learning and progress, how they are getting on at school, how you can support your child at home and any other pastoral or home issues that may be barriers to learning.
What can we offer to support you?
At St Paul’s, we offer parents and carers opportunities to be involved in family learning with your children, coming in to school and working with your child to learn new skills together e.g. cookery, pottery, first aid etc.
We also have a Lead Practitioner of Pastoral Support who works with children and/or their families should the need arise and provides advice on dealing with non-curricular emotional or social issues.
